If your thinking of staying at the World Hotel I strongly advise you not to. Its small, dirty, and smelly. Our window sill was full of garbage(gum, food, smoked cigars) and there were cockroaches crawling all over the walls. The bathroom was not a complete wall (it ended 1 ft from the ceiling) and we could hear people using the bathroom next to us. The only good thing about our experience was the $.65 beer at the store next door! I will never set foot in this dump again!

I had read a very negative review posted here but decided to try this place out for myself. Well, it's worse than I've ever imagined. Besides the fact that the rooms have no privacy (you can hear all of your neighbors)... there were roaches, it was dirty, the bathroom was scary--literally. I always stay in budget hotels in NYC and I've had my share of not-so-good ones but this one is absolutely the nastiest hotel I've ever seen. It's a dump.

Avoid this place at all cost. Is dirty, the rooms have no privacy, you can listen the people of the next room snoring, laughing and shouting.
All because the rooms have in the ceiling some holes that are conected to all the rooms. We feared that there would be hidden cameras in this double ceiling.... took me an hour to be sure there were none.

The floor had bubblegum and the furniture inside the tiny room had also bubblegum and something else that you can take out of your nose.

The shared bathrooms are like taken from a nightmare, dirty and used.
