“love love love this property”

I am a travel agent. This is a great property with a great location. You would never know that you are so close to town when resting by the pool. I would suggest that you book nothing less then a Deluxe if you do not want to be over the restarant. I always tell them that I have problems with stairs and I get a bottom floor with the french doors that go right out to the pool for a late night dip. The breakfast are okay for a couple of days, small, the same everyday, but tasty. I have stayed at this property 4 times and have sent several clients to this property when they wanted to be close to town. The fact that you have use of its sister property the Kaanapali Beach Hotel that is a beachfront property is another plus.

“Nice place to stay in Lahaina, great staff”

I very much liked the Plantation Inn. I liked the decor and the locaton is good. If you want to spend time in Lahaina, the parking space that comes with the room is a real plus. This property's connection with the Kaanapali Beach Hotel is also convenient, since you can park there at the same rate as their guests.
Breakfast was good; the coffee is excellent; but even though they call themselves a B&B, they're really more a small hotel that includes breakfast.

“Good enough for the price, great location”

Plantation Inn

We spent 2 nights here at the end of a 2-week trip in Hawaii. We had already had a few big disappointments with other hotels and were ready for another one by this point in our trip, but it turned out to be perfectly fine for what we paid. The staff was very friendly. Our room was cozy and had a nice porch and sitting area outside. The area around the pool was nice as well. The room could have used some upgrades and the shower could have been a little cleaner, but overall we were happy enough.

There were a few strange things. Someone put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door after we went out in the morning, so we didn't get maid service, which was irritating, although probably another guest's idea of a joke and not the Inn's fault. At breakfast I asked for milk and it took the server (who couldn't have been more pleasant) a half an hour to get it because it was "locked up in the fridge". The milk was locked up?

The Inn is right in the middle of Lahaina, which is very convenient, close to a ton of shops and restaurants. We didn't love Lahaina, in fact we liked every other part of Maui better, but for the 2 days we were there, this location was great. This was also 15 minutes from the Kapalua airport, which shortened our trip back to Honolulu to connect our mainland flight. The drive back to Kahului would have been 45 min to an hour.

“Very nice little hotel”

Plantation Inn

Mar 9, 2008

It is very nice little hotel in the center of Lahaina. They have a few rooms, each of them has a separate terrace with a beautiful view to the pool area. All the rooms are decorated differently, we had the one in Japaneese style, very cosy and beautiful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy. The staff is nice and helpful.
The only inconvenience of this hotel is the fact the reception is working from 9 AM until 8 PM, so if you are planning late arrival it is advised t discuss and coordinate it in advance with an administrator.

“Wonderful stay, beautiful place, thought it was perfect!”

Plantation Inn

5 of 5 stars
Jacksonville, FL
Feb 18, 2008

My new husband and I spent our honeymoon at this lovely Inn. We were a little nervous because they were some reviews that were less than stellar, but upon arrival, all of our fears subsided. We thought the Inn was beautiful, clean and well kept. Our room was very comfortable, and our balcony was put to great use. The pool was a popular hangout for a cool dip, or just a place to relax and chat. The breakfasts were top notch; we loved eating out by the pool! The staff was very helpful and treated us quite well. We enjoyed our stay so much, we are sending my husband's parent for a week's stay in September of this year (2008), which is what reminded me to finally post a review! I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
