I was in Chicago for business and brought the family along. It was my first stay at the James, and we were all very pleased with the ammenities for both business and the for the kids. For me, there was free wireless internet, and printing services, and for the kids, there was a great restaurant, and turn-down service with cookies (complimentary). As an example of how well we were treated - our daughter lost her "Coconut" dog while we were out and we called the front desk for the phone number to the restaurant we had just left. When my husband explained what had happened, the front desk called the restaurant. Upon learning that Coconut was not there, the desk staff sent up cookies and milk and a note to our daughter saying that they were sorry she had lost her friend. (PS - Coconut was recovered from a bookstore they had visited). Overall, the James is clean, well-kept, and quiet. The beds are great, and the ammenities, such as the gym are also great. This is the only place to stay in Chicago. Don't miss the Dim Sum brunch on Sunday, either.
