We came to Key West for a quick 4 day stay with friends and wanted to share a suite or condo. We found Coconut Beach on-line and decided to give it a try. After not investigating far enough and finding out it was a time-share we became apprehensive. But to our dismay it was the MOST AWESOME place we could have picked! It is off the beaten path of Duval,(scooters and electric cars are a must, but worth it) but completely worth staying at! It is on the Atlantic so it seemed like our own quiet tropical get away! We could escape the craziness of Duval to relax! The grounds were beautiful, staff was accomodating (even with a slight mix up for the first night, we wanted to share accomidations and were given separate studios- they fixed it and gave us a discount on our stay for their mistake) Plenty of room, all the necessary kitchen equipment and gadgets. Cleaning staff was very attentive they even washed our dirty dishes in the sink and loaded the dishwasher! The only thing I could have asked for was a later check out but, we were allowed to stay on the grounds and store our luggage in the lobby/office area though. We would definately stay again and have already recommended it to others! Very pleasant surprise for a time-share!

This place was fabulous! Located right next door to Louie's Backyard--we had the same fantastic views without paying extra for them. We rented a 2 bdrm suite (an efficiency and 1 bedroom connected) on the top floor of the D bldg, and I have only 1 regret... that we couldn't stay longer! The rooms were clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable--loved the rocking chairs on the porch, and the sound of the Atlantic waves. It was a short walk to get to Duval Street, and then of course you'll walk MANY blocks on the active part of Duval itself. Wear comfortable shoes, and DO rent bikes or scooters for a day to see more sites.

What a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the quiet sound of the ocean lapping at the shoreline! We have returned from a week there in trade through Interval and have nothing but the highest praise for this resort.

The B building 3rd floor unit we stayed in had a spectacular view overlooking the pool and the ocean just beyond with swaying palm fronds shading our porch as the sun moved in its course. Sunrise and sunset are both easily enjoyed here from the ocean-side patio and the property is well kept and lushly landscaped. It's the epitome of a tropical paradise and the Old Key West style buildings enhance the comfortable and homey atmosphere.

The bed was very comfortable; the living room airy and spacious although we preferred to sit outside on the long covered porch whenever we were there. The kitchen was nicely equipped.

Most everyone who stays here is an owner. It's evidently rare to find a unit offered for trade but anyone who does trade in or rent here will be amazed to find that this relatively unknown jewel in KW will become one of your most memorable vacation lodging memories. No wonder so many families own and return here year after year after year. They are like close-knit extended family.

We walked to everything each day although next time I’d rent a bike. We loved the nearby Ana’s Cuban coffee and Camille’s for breakfast. We swam in the ocean right out front, listened to the waves gently breaking against the patio wall in the evening, chatted with the friendly returning owners and just let the stress melt away a little more each day.

First, let me explain that I am a Hotel Snob and was concerned about going to a property I have never been nor did we know anyone who has ever stayed there. It was wonderful. It is not the Waldorf in NY where we stay frequently but it matches the Waldorf for cleanliness and service. All freshly painted, a beautiful pool right on the Ocean and a real beach (not man made). Lots of flowers and palms to give shade if you are not a sun worshiper. Wonderful restaurants and shopping right within walking distance and one of the most recommended restaurants Louie's Backyard/Backporch is right next door to the resort. This is the quiet part of the Island, yet you can walk to Mallory Square when you want excitement or drive and park in a public parking lot.

On Tuesday night, they had a welcome rum party at the pool and music and also a departure rum party on Friday with music. They have a very good Massage Therapist who will come to your room and give you (one of the best I ever had) massages for $75 for an hour or she will also do it by pool. Her name is Joy.

I will definetly go back to Coconut Beach Resort.
