We stayed in the prima music hotel in august 2007. Since we arrived we didn't have the honour to see a smile on the face of the staff!! Yes we felt VERY welcome! We had to wait to check in because the one who is in charge of the reservations had to finish to smoke her cigarette and of course talking on the phone. Never mind we arrive after a 5 hour drive with small children. We reserved a crib and another bed but at 11pm no sign of any other bed never mind we paid for it. When we asked for it we had to wait another 45minutes with a sleeping baby in my hand!, never mind!!!
In middle of the night we woke up with a baby's cry almost choking yep the bottom of the crib fell on the floor! There was our ten months old baby laying between this heavy wooden base and the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I TOLD THIS TO MANAGER SHE PROMISED ME TO SEND SOMEONE TO CHECK IT! YEP YOU GUESSED IT RIGHT SHE IS STILL BUSY CHECKING IT!!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times while staying in Eilat. We choose to stay at this hotel as it is cheaper than most hotels in Eilat which charge very high rates and have very poor facilities. The staff at the Prima Music are always very friendly. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities i.e yoga, bike hire, ipod hire. They can also book tours across to Jordan. The rooms are standard hotel size, brightly decorated with air conditioning and all rooms offer a view of the sea. However when booking I would suggest you request a pool & sea view room as you can sometimes be left looking at the sea but across the top of roofs. The breakfast is Israeli breakfast i.e salad, bread, fish and omellets any day of the week apart from Saturday. The hotel markets itself as being a music hotel and there is an actual room where you can go and freely play the selection of records they have. There is usually entertainment in the bar in the evenings there there is also a mini stereo in the rooms with cd player. The hotel has a very nice pool and a great grass area for lounging around. I would recommend this hotel to families and couples (not on honeymoon). The location of this hotel is great as it is straight across the road from the Coral beach where the best snorkelling and diving is and there is several dive centres that hire dive and snorel gear. If you book your snorelling/diving through the hotel you get a discount across the road at the hire centre. There is also a supermarket just down from the hotel. It is a 8min car ride from the hotel to the main city centre but the hotel offers a shuttle service. I would stay at this hotel again.

I spent a week over Easter in the Prima Music all by myself for diving.
The hotel is perfectly located if you want to dive with one of the many diving facilities located at Coral Beach in south Eilat. I dove with "Marina Divers" who had the best prices and they were just across the street to Taba (border ca. 1km from here) which seperates the hotel from the beach.
Beaches are not very nice as they are quite stony at the waterfront. But you can find a nice spot just for hanging out and tanning as there are many long chairs and umbrellas available along the beach for free.

The hotel is ok. The rooms are renovated and they have a view to the sea. The windows are small and the room is rather dark.
There is a lobby where you can use the internet via WLAN (ILS 16,-/ hour) or at a machine (ILS 16,-/ half hour). I did not try the club, restaurant and the pool & indoor bars. The pool is ok and open 9am till 5pm for swimming. Until midnight you can enjoy the pool area for hanging around (open tents with matresses on the lawn).
Many facilities and amenities are not offered at the hotel. If you are looking for great amusement and animation go to a hotel like the Club Med next to the Prima Music for example.

What I did not like at all: There were many families with young children and during breakfast it was very disturbing to have an almost unbearable noise level in the dining hall. Also the babys were throwing around food and stuff and it was quite disgusting as the tables and chaires were not properly cleaned by the staff afterwards. Also some of the staff looked rather like beach boys then waiters and were not very motivated.
The food choice was quite good & tasty though!

There was also much noise in the hallway in front of my door. Families and ladies were meeting in the corridor to have their cigarett and a talk. Children were playing ball and running along. As the door was not sealing at all you could hear everything. But this may be just one the cultural experiences you will have in Isreal.

If you want to go to the overcroaded (at least when I was there during high season) city center for shopping or dining (some very nice places) you can either take one of the many public buses (ILS 4,- one way) that stop at the street just across the hotel or take the tourist shuttle bus which you can use free of charge if you ask for a ticket voucher at reception. It takes you only around 10 min to the mall where the center begins. Or just take a taxi (I guess about ILS 20,-).
For dining I would recommend the "Last refuge" also just across the street right at the marina. You can sit outside and watch the boats while having excellent food at decent cost.

My wife and I stayed at the Prima Music Eilat for ten days in Jan 2007. It's located at Coral Reef - about 5Km away from the crowds of Eilat which is a good place to stay if you want a quiet vacation. We had a car so could drive into Eilat but there is a also a frequent bus service.

We had a fantastic time. The hotel is not swanky but somehow the staff that make an effort, the quieter location, the good but not opulant rooms, and professional management combine to yield a really nice experience.

If you want a plush 5 star experience - then don't go to the Prima. If you want a smaller hotel at a reasonable price then the Prima fits the bill.
