Having stayed at the sister Maritime Hotel, I thought I'd give the Bowery a try for a 3 day NY trip. Location is the major difference; just a few blocks from the Westside Meatpacking scene brings a more earthy, rough NY vibe - and I like it, I think. This results in the hotel and lobby crowd being a bit... more

Stayed 3 nights in a corner suite on 10th floor (asked to be moved from 4th floor on arrival as the road was being resurfaced) which they were fine with. Very comfortable beds - small bathrooms (but this is NYC). Doorman very friendly. Reception/Concierge busy but as helpful as needs be. The bar was good, but sometimes slow - short... more

This is a TRULY COOL hotel. It's small enough to have the intimacy of a boutique type hotel and it's amazingly posh & wonderful. This is a "movie star" caliber hotel experience...fantastic. This place has a really cool bar as well so its a great place to have people in for drinks. Very nice courtyard as well. So worth the... more

Lovely hotel. Service is wonderful and the King room we had was gorgeous, with lovely linen sheets and a fabulous view. The receptionist was lovely and offered us advice on places to go and eat as well as shopping! Will definitely return there very soon! more

Having lived in New York a couple of years ago, I was aghast to return recently and see the nondescript steel and glass buildings which are being erected in the downtown area. Thankfully, the Bowery Hotel, which was built less than two years ago, blends into the east village seamlessly and is true to the style and character of the... more

The Bowery Hotel is incredible. Personable, friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Our room had a gorgeous view of downtown and featured the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. A ceiling fan helped keep the room's temperature controlled and comfortable. Our bathroom featured a shower with rainfall shower head. The... more

Had the best of times at the Bowery Hotel. Staff were very friendly, professional & extremily helpful. Room was fantastic with a super comfortable bed & beautiful floor to ceiling windows - only sideback was it lacked a few drawers to keep one week's clothing (2 people). Apple laptops with internet free of charge. Ipod docking station in room. The... more

My husband and I spent three days at The Bowery Hotel in NYC. Upon arrival and over the course of our stay, we were treated - at best - in a relatively cold, dismissive fashion. We, very consistently, felt as though extremely inappropriate and highly preferential treatment was given to the more high-profile guests of the hotel whilst we, as... more

The Bowery is a beautiful hotel within walking distance to all of New York's great shopping and neighborhoods. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable w/ great views. Some of the room doors are however notoriously difficult to open and you might spend 5-10 mins outside your room trying to get in. Luckily, helpful staff isn't far away to give a... more

Stayed 5 nights in a King room with double aspect windows in bedroom and full window behind bath. Fantastic place. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival which is a nice touch. Very happy just to stay in the room one night when too tired to go out for another meal. Great interiors and detailing. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Had a great... more
