I reserved a suite with a king size bed and Jacuzzi tub on the Holiday Inn website. Then I discovered a friend would be traveling with me and I added a comment to the reservation asking for 2 double beds in place of the king suite. I called the hotel and the receptionist said she got the request and would... more
This Holiday Inn Express is a terrific value located a couple of blocks south of Madison Square Garden. The neighborhood wasn't prime, but within a few blocks are restaurants, bars and shopping (Macy's Herald Square). We arrived super early in the morning, were able to store our bags (no charge) and we hit the Grayline Uptown/Downtown Loop Tour (a great... more
Everything in this property was as expected and some things we´re even better. Almost an instant response from front office to an email concerning details of the rate we had chosen before our arrival was perfectly in line with everyhing else: kind and polite, but not pretentious. Everyone we met at this hotel we´re doing a wonderful job being like... more
HI Express at Madison Square Garden is a great hotel. It is conveniently located only 1 block from a red line subway stop and is near Macy's, Penn Station and some great restaurants. The continental breakfast is great, includes some hot items in addition to bagels, donuts, muffins, cereal, etc. My only complaints - I had requested a cot when... more
I was a big fan of this hotel. First the positives: breakfast was good, with a good selection of food; the location was excellent, with the 28th street stop on the 1 train only about a block away and Penn Station about 5 blocks; there are lots of food and bar options in the immediate area; the rooms are OK... more

We were really happy with the Holiday Inn Express in Madison Square... more
This is a very nice hotel just a few blocks south of Madison Square Garden. It is a block from the Red Line (1) making it extremely easy to get to Times Square, Wall Street and South Ferry. The rooms are small but clean and quite nice. I'd give the beds a 3.5 / 5 for comfort. The only problem... more
