We picked the Rivington from a list of over twenty hotels we'd found in NYC that ticked all our 'wants & needs'. It won because of the floor to ceiling windows and the location.... we wanted non-gentrified NYC and that's what we got! It's door staff were great, friendly and welcoming. The reception staff were a mixed bunch... some 'to... more

Stayed here for two nights last weekend. Will return. From check-in to check-out, the staff (everyone from the bell boy to the concierge to the bar staff!) were lovely and ready to help whenever necessary. Our room was a high corner king, 18th floor. By NYC standards, the room was big and the bathroom was huge. It is true that... more

I recently spent 4 nights at the the Hotel on Rivington and have never had a better time in New York City. From the second I walked into the lobby of this place, I was bowled over. The hotel exudes coolness. As I made my way past the beautiful people hanging out at the bar, I had to be cautious... more

Booked a high floor corner king with balcony. I don't know, maybe it's me, but floor twelve in a 20 story building isn't exactly "high floor" and there was no balcony. The included breakfast consisted of toast and coffee, served by snippy wait staff who were waiting to be discovered by DeNiro. Try to get back into the hotel after... more

After much deliberation and internet research we decided on the Rivington and weren't disappointed. Theres so much choice, Gansevoort, Hudson, Mercer but the views are unbeatable at the Rivington, rooms are a good size and as a visitor you will get to experience the lower east side - very cool area. We always favoured the west village and meatpacking, but... more

The rooms are huge and in excellent condition. I found the service to be very prompt. I requested a room toward the back of the building. Therefore, I slept really well. However, I was not there on a weekend night. I enjoyed staying in the lower east side for the first time. It's a fun neighborhood. I didn't like the... more

I stayed two nights in room 1825 (unique room 18th floor). Simply spectacular view of midtown manhattan. I have never ever seen views like this from a hotel room. Hotel had bottle of champagne waiting. No street noise from this level and bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was floor to ceiling windows (bottom half frosted) which was quite unique. Simply... more

We were recommended this hotel by a friend and it didn't disappoint. We wanted to see the non-touristy areas of NYC and the Hotel On Rivington really started the holiday off in style. It's relaxed atmosphere, cool decor, smart rooms, funky bathrooms and great views make it a unique hotel. We loved it, we even woke up early to take... more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Small rooms and cheapo furnishings is not chic minimalist decor. The rooms do not have desks or workspaces of any type whatsoever, so if you need to do any work, you are out of luck. The TV was 22" rather than 42" like every other hotel. The elevators... more
