We stayed there in September for 5 nights. Very nice place with very friendly owner(s). The area is very nice and the metro is just 2 minutes walking and central park another 8 minutes. Supermarket across the street . Reasonable price and would go there again. PS sheets/towels are replaced every 3 nights but this was told when we checked... more

We went to New York for a weekend at the end of May and stayed at 102 Brownstone for 5 nights. It was an OK place to stay for the price, we paid about £500. The room was nice and quite big, and the gentleman who checked us in was very nice. But for the 5 days we were staying,... more

We had the luna room and it was a beautiful room. Both the owners were very helpful and accomedating. Both my husband and myself were arriving at different times and Lizette ensured that a key was ready before my husband came she even helped me with my suitcase up the stairs which i have to admit was already heavy from... more

My husband and I just returned from attending a gift and home decor tradeshow in midtown Manhatten and stayed at 102 Brownstone for 3 nights. It was a fantastic experience - both the Brownstone and Harlem. The owners of this small, boutique hotel have put their heart and soul into their business and have created something wonderful. It is located... more

We stayed at 102 Brownstone for about 5 days/nights in March 2007. We stayed in the Zen Room and would go back in a heartbeat. For less than the price of most basic hotel rooms in other parts of the city, we had what felt like a studio apartment -- with a full kitchen even. The brownstone was just a... more

I was greeted at the door by Roger who was very pleasant and welcoming. He showed me to my room which immediately exceeded my expectations. The pictures on the Web site were great, but seeing the actual room in person...I fell in love with it! Before Roger left me to enjoy the room, he gave me a bottle of wine... more

I would love to have given a review of Brownstone, but I couldn't stay in the end because I was told ONE WEEK before travel that my booking had not been honoured. The booking form stated that a deposit would be taken from my credit card 28 days before arrival. I arrived at work a week before our holiday to... more

We loved our stay at 102 Brownstone. The room was beautiful and clean and Lizette was friendly and welcoming. We loved how unique our room was and appreciated the privacy. The trip uptown on the train was quick and simple and the neighborhood was great. We will be staying here again! more

I am a woman, traveling solo, who spent five days at the 102 Brownstone and had a very positive experience. I was very comfortable in my room and enjoyed the decor, and amenities. I bought enough groceries at the supermarket a block away for breakfasts and snacks. I had to travel by subway to Columbia University and even with a... more

My husband and I were visiting from Canada for the secound time this year. Our first visit was in Chelsea. I found this gem on Trip advisor's site. I'm quite enchanted by 102 Brownstone. The ambiance of the beautifully decorated room (the Cafe au Lait)with the ornate luxurious textures and warm colours and Lizette (the owner) surpassed all my expectations.... more
