I travel to New York for business several times a year. The Alex Hotel is by far the best place I have ever stayed. Rooms are amazing, service is beyond excellent, location is ideal. I really just can't think of a single bad thing to say. No complaints whatsoever, and trust me, I am VERY picky. more

Booked this hotel based on their own web site and trip advisor reviews. Located in a very good part of mid town NYC, near Grand Central station. Plenty food, bars, shops, sites very close by etc etc. Amish market in same street was just amazing........ Inital reaction on arrival was lobby area felt very small. The Alex is wonderful! From the lovely people at the check in to the beautifully appointed rooms the experience is truly boutique and special. The rooms, while small, are immaculate with the lush Frette linens and wonderful Frederick Fekkai soaps and shampoos in the very chic bathrooms. Clean, minimalist, with stunning views of the Chrysler Building from the E45th street side ... a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
