We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Ritz Carlton Batt Park having visited New York 4 times before. We chose this hotel because of a special deal from British Airways and the good location. The hotel is based at the very end of Manhatton often referred to as Lower Manhatton or Downtown. It is right next... more

I completely agree with the previous review by dannymcl--pretentious, overstaffed, high-class chain. The beds were very comfortable, but the room was dusty--very dusty in corners. Housekeeping was below average. We had to remake the beds to fix the problem with the mattress pads. The worst part was the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The omlet consisted of a big lump... more

Stayed in the hotel end of July with my wife and two teenage daughters. First of all great location, we came to NY to relax and this is the palce to be... It's out of the hussle of mid town, but realy not that far away. The staff were very good, however, almost over the top... we started to feel... more

We had a Liberty Suite that directly overlooked the Statue of Liberty and the New York Harbor. For fireworks--the best display is at South Street Seaport, not at this location but you can see some smaller fireworks over the Statue as well as New Jersey. Great service, good jogging path, nice area for kids to play outside. You are at... more

Whilst some may like noise and crowds, we do not. Having stayed in NYC twice before, this time we chose the Ritz Battery Park because of its location in a less popular tourist area. And we got it 100% right! The staff were attentive without being over the top. The room was very well appointed and a lovely size, including... more

I booked a city view club level room here during Columbus Day weekend for a little R&R with the wife. Service was spot on as soon as we arrived. Door men were attentive with plenty of bell hops to care for your luggage. Upon entering the lobby I asked if I could be escorted to the club lounge where I... more

I stayed at this Ritz for 3 nights with my husband for my 40th birthday celebration. I come to NY several times a year, and we always stay in midtown or uptown. I decided for a change of scenery, we would try the Ritz at Battery Park. It is a lovely location, right on the waterfront. The evenings were quiet,... more

Haved stayed here 4 times this year (2008). Hotel is typical business hotel in a business district - would advise against staying here for vacation as there really is nothing but offices and a few basic coffee shop/cafes in the immediately area (although obviously has a fab view of the statue of liberty). Overall it's a high quality business hotel... more

We love the Ritz Carlton chain and the Battery Park Hotel didn't disappoint. We had a Club Level room and the lounge was simply great; attentive service, great food and drink and a peaceful haven that provided a great place to relax. We had our 12 year old son with us and he was well treated and loved the experience... more
