Stayed here after a friend got a very cheap deal for four nights. As it was my first time in New York it was very much a girly holiday. My friend got an upgrade as she told everyone who knew it it was her bday-this worked as she got the upgrade and a much bigger room! Whilst the room I... more

Stayed there on business for 2 nights, will never return. The lobby is a nightclub, couldn't even here the woman who was checking me in. Got a room on the 16th floor, it was a "cozy, queen" that was a claustrophobic cave. Lighting was terrible, don't plan on getting any work done. It is impossible to get from the entrance... more

Stayed there on business. - Hotel got the booking wrong - 1st room I checked in, no electricals working i.e. lights, TV, etc. etc. - 2nd room they gave me, 2nd night found a cockroach in the bathroom! They gave me 50% of the bill and $50 credit at the bar. You can imagine that when you pay those prices... more

Just visted New York city during our Canada's Thanksgiving weekend. Beautiful city and we stayed at the W Hotel on Lexington and 53. If you are claustrophobia and fear of darkness then this hotel is not right for you. Rooms are dimmed dark. This hotel is for young teens who like "Club Atmosphere" settings. I booked using Priceline which was... more

My fiance and I stayed at the W in Times Square. We had a decent view of all the lights, but had nice heavy drapes on the windows to shut out all the lights at night. The beds were so comfortable and sheets were great quality. The bathroom was weird because the walls are....well...like opaqe white glass or plastic? You... more

The W on Lexington and 51 was an OK NYC hotel. The lobby is tight, service was acceptable for NYC hotel (not polite but not rude - I would say cold professional greeting), the room was small and the bathroom was extremely small. The furniture and the decor was new that made the room acceptable. Prepare to pay for everything.... more

Stayed here on a Saturday night. I had reserved a basic room. When I arrived around 2:00pm, I was told the room would not be ready until 3:00pm. An available upgraded room was offered to me for an extra $20; I took it. Room was small but nice: nice decoration, large flat screen TV, Radio and iPod player, etc. At... more

I read an awful lot of bad/terrible reviews for this hotel and would have cancelled my booking if the reservation hadn't been prepaid. Glad I didn't! The rooms have been recently renovated (think some may still be in the process) so the furniture and fittings are perfectly adequate rather than tired and worn like I'd read, and our room was... more

The music in the lobby and Heartbeat Restaurant is FAR TOO LOUD for conversation. The lobby was full, full, full every night with people ordering drinks ... yet there was never more than ONE waitress working at a time ... which made the service slow, slow, slow. The front desk staffer @ check-in was snotty. A different front desk staffer... more

I loved the W Hotel in Manhattan. It's a very trendy place to be in the heart of Times Square. The lounge on the 4 floor was a great touch too! more
