We rented this room on Hotwire, where you don't know what hotel it is until you pay for it. Previous hotels have been great so we weren't worried. We wanted the area to be close to family and still close to San Diego Zoo, beaches, etc. The other comments on parking are true, but there is a one level garage... more

We stayed here after searching hotels in San Diego and finding very few available rooms and fair rates. I will start by saying that the area is great. It is right up the freeway from everything and really close to The San Diego Wild Animal Park. It is in an upper middle class neighborhood and I felt really safe. It... more

The General manager is very rude and unprofessional and didn't seem to know what he was doing.Who hired that guy.Ive been traveling for years and I've never encounter such person. The room was really dirty and the maintenance in the room need lots of work to be done. The only good thing i have to say is the breakfast was superb and... more

We stayed here one night after a wedding right up the street. Check in went smoothly, the room was great with free internet & a small refrigerator but the real value came with the breakfast - full eggs, sausage, cereals, fruit, juices etc like at the Embassy Suites. I don't know how they do it in this day & age... more

I was up the road in San Marcos visiting a friend who has had business meetings here. Her words were "Oh--*that* hotel; it's nothing special." I have to agree. For example, my laptop can't print, and I had to print an html document. I phoned the desk to ask where the business suite was. The clerk answered "What's that? What's... more

I was traveling to this location on business. It is a beautiful area to visit and mostly residential. The hotel was clean and very nice. One negative I found is that the hotel is actually two separate buildings. The one I stayed in did not appear to have great wheel chair access near the lobby which means carrying your luggage... more

I am not sure what the other reviewers were expecting, but this hotel met all my expectations. We only had a one night stay, but everything was as it should be. The check in and check out processes went very smoothly. The front desk staff were very helpful with whatever we needed. The rooms were big and clean with a... more

We were staying in the San Diego area for my daughters volleyball tournament. After reading all of the reveiws, some were good some were bad, I decided to give the hotel a try. My advice is do not stay at this Holiday Inn. At 9:00 p.m. we were getting ready for bed and I pulled the comforter and sheets down on... more

This was a great hotel. For the price it is above average, I have definitely paid more for less. I can't think of anything to complain about. I gave above average because the breakfast was fantastic, the pool had a jacuzzi, the view was nice, the service was good. Don't hesitate a second, unless you are expecting a 4 star... more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Rancho Bernardo for three nights in July 2007. My first night, I set the air conditioning at 70 because the room was very warm. At midnight, I woke up and the temperature read 89 degrees. I contacted the front desk, and they moved me to a different room. The next two nights, the exact... more
