We needed to stay in Heliopolis to be close to the exhibition grounds, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is old, but everything works well and efficiently. The staff were great from the bell captain to the housekeeping ... The rooms may not be the newest style but they are Clean, comfortable and the shower just what you... more

We stayed here for one night at the end of a 14 day trip to Egypt. Our company Egypt Uncovered booked this hotel for its proximity to the airport. The rooms are spacious and clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. We ate at the Leonard Restaurant in the evening and I had a very good risotto. Good breakfast. The... more

I stayed at this hotel for five nights while in Cairo for business. The service was very attentive, especially compared to Le Passage Heliopolis where I stayed on a previous visit. The room was clean and comfortable but could use an update. I believe all rooms are being renovated. We ate at most of the restaurants and found the food... more

I've visited this hotel a couple of times as our client in Egypt gets special rates, and overall its certainly one of the better hotels I've stayed in. Staff are very friendly and polite, seemingly with good language skills - I observed once recptionist switching from Arabic to English to German easily. On my latest visit I was given one... more

I was recently stranded at the very scary Cairo airport at 3am (long story), and thankfully found that this hotel had a room and was willing to send a driver to come in rescue me from the airport. All the staff, but especially Amr the concierge, were extremely helpful and friendly, and I will be eternally grateful to them for... more

We stayed one short night before final departure to US and were booked by travel agent. Hotel belongs to the category of luxurious but faceless modern establishment that is very good when you need quick and efficient relax-recharge but might be boring for a longer vacation when you are open for something more original and eventful. Expect bouquets of roses... more

We stayed here at the end of our trip with Globus/Avalon Waterways tour. It was a nice hotel, very pretty inside the lobby. we stayed only one night. The room was a typical hotel room. The bathroom was large. There are a ton of restaurants in the hotel. We ate at Darts which was a fun alternative after being in... more

Stayed at the hotel for three nights after a two week nile cruise in Aug 2006 and was looking forward to a nice relaxing time, and a high quality hotel. I found the rooms to be ok, but thought it was ridiculous to charge for tea and coffee in the room. Our stay started with the obligatory begging room cleaner... more

Very run down.Worn carpets in rooms and hallways.Tired looking rooms, dirty bathroom. Staff uninterested in quests.Everybody looking for tips. Reception staff unpleasant. We booked a hotel taxi to take us to the pyramids. The driver stopped at 2 places on route to put us in an awkward situation where a forceful sales pitch was made to try an make us buy overpriced... more
