Whatever it takes, don't ever plan on staying at this hotel. First of all, it's a rip-off. I had a corporate discount, but my room rate was still around US$270 (excluding breakfast) per night (with regular rate being $350). The restoration is a work of art - the lobby is one of the most impressive I have ever seen. I could sit, looking at the decor for hours. The rooms were spacious, clean and above-average for Marriott. Location is ideal, centrally located in the heart of Tbilisi. The Marriot has good-size rooms in good condition. The restaurants are okay, nothing special. Breakfast is really quite good. The staff do not always succeed in offering good service, but at least they always try. As you are not spoilt for choice in Tbilisi, it is a fairly safe bet. I have stayed in the Tbilisi Marriott on several occasions and have been quite satisfied with both the facilities and staff on each occasion. The rooms are quite good and the gym is one of the better ones I have found. The restaurant is solid and the breakfast exceptional. I would recommend the Marriott should Tbilisi be in your future. more
