I got diverted here after Hotel Engelab cocked up my reservation, and thank goodness for that! The Iranshahr was better located, cheaper and more homey. I stayed there for six nights in total over twenty days in April 2008, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had read semi-satisfied reviews of this hotel so attempted to book via internet several times before arrival, but got no response. Took a punt and caught a taxi from Tehran Int airport (approx $20 US on meter), to Iranshahr, they were out of single rooms ($50US) so opted for double ($65US). A good 3 star choice, located in the main banking district of Tehran, wlthin walking distance of the underground metro. The room was smallish but well kept and clean, with a standard bathroom and limited satelite TV. Staff was friendly and helpful.
