David Intercontinental, Tel Aviv, Israel (poor location) Skip this hotel. We stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon, a four night stay in Tel Aviv. This is a fairly sterile business hotel trying to bill itself as a vacation spot. It just doesn’t make the grade when you hold up its prices and promises. But the real deal-breaker... more

Service was superb, especially in the executive lounge, although the quality of the food there was just OK. Rooms were very nice and at the price I paid a total bargain. Hiltons overseas tend to be consistently very good to excellent, but more and more I am impressed with the quality of Intercontinentals at lower prices. more

I go to Israel every couple of years, and have stayed in at least half a dozen of the better hotels on the Tel Aviv beach. The David Intercontinental is the best of the bunch. It's a beautiful property, with a soaring atrium near the breakfast area (which is typically Israeli, with a huge selection). I was fortunate enough to... more

Overall an enjoyable stay, however for a 5* hotel there is a lot more room for improvement. We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights and were in a standard hotel room which had recently been redecorated. The hotel is starting to look very tired and needs a refurb asap. For the price you pay, you dont expect curtains which... more

I agree with the previous reviewer. The Intercontinental is the only hotel we stayed in on our Israel tour that is genuinely of international standard and a real 5 star hotel. We were on a Club floor with separate check-in and all the hotel support services, including excellent concierges, gave the hotel a more sophisticated air. The Club lounge was... more

I really liked it! Great panoramic views over Tel Aviv and the sea, good value for money, great location, close to the beach (walking distance), close to a really nice area full of cute bars and restaurants, also close to "downtown tel aviv" . Very close to Yafo as well, which is lovely. I walked everywhere from this hotel. The... more

This is not an Intercontinental which is up to the standards of their top properties in say Hong Kong or London but is still better than the Hilton, Crowne Plaza or Carlton which are the other 5 star options in Tel Aviv. Although it has a nice pool, this is not really a resort hotel despite its position opposite the... more

So I'd heard how fantastic David Intercontinental was and as I couldn't get into the Hilton I thought I would give it a go. I suffer from claustrophobia and knowing that very few of the rooms had balconies, I emailed the hotel requesting a balcony room and an interconnecting one for my children. I was told that there were no... more

This is a wonderful hotel. I have visited on an annual basis since the hotel was built and, while there were inevitably teething problems initially, this hotel is as slick as any in Israel. The modern and impressive reception area gives you a real sense of the investment that has gone into this hotel. That sense is furthered when you... more

What I expect from international hotel company is a international service, I mean same service and same standard in every country, in the whole world. I spend 4 days in David Intercontinental, with a rate of 350 USD for double room per night. When I check in I find my room very cold, because temperature was settled at 5°C. I... more
