We stayed for 2 days in Sept 2008. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed, lots of space and many amenities. The major problem was the noise. We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Dan Eilat. We had a good sized and clean room with a great view over the Red Sea. Breakfasts are phenomenal - quality and quantity. While this is not the most luxurious hotel I have stayed at, I don't understand the negative reviews. Eilat is like the Israeli Las Vegas, or perhaps like Myrtle Beach (I've never been there), so don't be surprised by the atmosphere of the hotels or the people.
