We stayed in room 7 for six nights. We chose the hotel because it didn't look like a sterile modern place; we wanted a genuine Turkish house and that's what we got! The room was more than adequate with an ensuite shower, I kept the windows open all night as I like to listen to the sounds of any city... more

We booked into the hotel on the basis of webreviews, and it came up to expectation many times over. In two spells we sampled three rooms. At the rear there was some train noise (not problematic) but the front rooms though small are very peaceful. Views in all directions are glorious: upwards to Sultanahmet mosque, down to the dolphins and... more

Booked on lastminute.com and arrived in the afternoon, only to find that our room wasn't available due to a problem with the water on the 3rd floor and they would have to transfer us to another hotel. This wouldn't have been an issue apart fom the fact that the hotel we'd booked in Istanbul the week before had done exactly... more

Homely little inn five minutes from the Blue Mosque and in easy walking distance of all the main sites in Istanbul. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had one of the bigger rooms actually set into the city walls and were very comfortable. The place is spotlessly clean throughout and we had proper sized bath sheets, hand towels and... more

Our family of four stayed at this charming 12 bedded guest house in the heart of Sulhamanet. It was sweet from the outside, being in a terrace in a quiet lane, and the house has a historic past. Inside the charm and quaintness continues. The greeting is excellent and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are smaller but very quaint... more

We stayed in one of the larger back rooms and in one of the smaller front rooms. The back rooms are reasonable sized, but there is a train track and mosque right behind the hotel that between them pretty much make sleeping after dawn impossible. Unless you are a VERY sound sleeper I'd suggest avoiding these. The front rooms are... more

We very much enjoyed our stay at Naz Wooden House Inn - it's a delightful small hotel with only 6 or 7 rooms and we were pleased with our decision to stay there. Yes, the rooms are quite small, but ours was big enough for the two of us. We had one of the front rooms, overlooking the street -... more

We were booked to stay at the Naz Wooden House hotel for two nights in late April... however, when we arrived around 6 pm, they told us that because of a water shortage in the city that we would be "upgraded" to their sister hotel, the Deniz Konak since it had reserve water tanks and the Naz Wooden House did... more

Unfortuntately our experience at this hotel was not as positive as other people. I do not wish to sound negative however........ when we first arrived we were taken to our room, a double with a small terrace with fantastic views. We were in the room for just one hour when the VERY rude receptionist came up and told us he'd... more
