Without doubt this place will always be in the top five of the worst places I've ever stayed. Visited Baku in October 2004 for a football match, and it was arranged through a travel company. We were booked here for four nights in October 2004 when England played Azerbaijan. We stayed one night and spent the entire next day searching for a different hotel. The Absheron is dreadful.
