I was quite paranoid about staying here after the reviews on Tripadvisor. Sometimes, one gets the feelings that the reviews on some properties are just *too* good. However, having stayed here I can assure potential guests - it really is a great place to stay. I won't repeat a lot of what has been said here, but just comment on... more

Excellent hotel - great location and rooms. Staff were less than friendly at front desk, and the continual disturbances early in the morning (following an overnight flight) were not ideal. Would still recommend for business and holiday travellers. more

We had a great stay. The room was amazing, I can’t say enough about the design. The art around the entire hotel was wonderful. We had a motion room and it was outstanding! I would stay here again and would recommend to friends. I got the flu the last day of the vacation and the hotel was very accommodating with... more

I cannot say enough about how overly satisfied my fiancé (now) and I were with our stay at Hotel Palomar, especially with it being such a special weekend. From the time we checked in, to the time we checked out, the staff and services were top-notch. I spoke with some of the staff as I was interested in setting up... more

Fantastic location, really friendly service and lovely rooms. Just a few steps from Dupont Circle station and one block from a fantastic pizzeria, across the road a supermarket and a great cafe for breakfast. All in all a superb location. Very friendly staff on reception. Really helpful with advice on where to eat out, how to get there etc. They... more

I am LIVID!!! I just checked my credit card bill and saw that Palomar has just charged me an additional $22 two days after we checked out - I called to inquire and they said it was for a bottle of wine from the mini-bar. I stated we did not drink any wine from the mini-bar and the fellow on... more

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Washington with my girlfriend. From the minute we checked in I cannot fault this place. The guy ata the front desk was very helpful. he explained to us that the hotel charges $400 to your credit card on check in as a kind of deposit and to cover incidentals. This is credited back... more

Initial confusion (on our part ) sent us to the Palomar in Arlington - a beautiful hotel and as they told us newer tahn the one we were booked into! Arriving at the right hotel we were met with a slightly frosty reception and the black drapes hiding the renovation work by the elevators didn't make us feel great about... more

Room is amazing, very large and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Close distance to main DC attractions. Restaurant downstairs has GREAT food, not very kid friendly (toddler) since they don't have a real menu and the items which were offered were not the best choices. more

We stayed in the Palomar for 3 nights this September, as first timers in Washington DC. The hotel is lovely - very cool public areas and our room was gorgeous and absolutely huge! I loved the sexy decor and fun touches including the animal print bathrobes! The location was great too. We walked to all of the main tourist attractions... more
