My husband and I celebrated our Honeymoon with 5 glorious nights on Bedarra Island - what a wonderful, magical experience! From arriving by launch and met by Mark the GM, to our fabulous Pavillion room with our own horizon pool, to the sumptuous, excellent dining - every single meal, to the wonderful crew working in the restaurant - including the... more

Bedarra Island resort is amazing! There is no better place on earth to relax and unwind - every whim is pampered and the unassuming but perfectionist attitude of the staff produce a gentle luxury rather than a tawdry, hackneyed experience. Don't expect to be waited on constantly, this is a resort where the staff are unobtrusive, friendly but extremely proficient... more

A tired, over priced dull resort. The resort is billed as "Uber Exclusive, unasahmed luxury" The simple fact is, it Isn't ! The room are tired, with G plan 70's style wooden dressers etc. Silly little plunge pools that are not really worth getting into. Food- Atrocious- we asked for either a plain steak, or grilled chicken- neither was possible.... more

If you want to feel like you have money to burn and feel like your on a Thomas Cook tour this is the place to go. Let me make my case in point: - During our transfer and arrival on to Dunk around 3:00pm we were made to wait for over 2 hours at the beach shack. Following this the... more

My wife and i spent a week at Bedarra for our anniversary and found it to be better the second time around if that was possible. The island is very scenic and seclusive offering both privacy and a sense of community. We stayed in the Doorila bungalow known as Point #1 which offeres both privacy and opulence. The heated plunge pool was... more

My wife and I stayed at Bederra for 6 nights in a Point room, we had a truly fantastic experience. If you are looking for a relaxing luxurious getaway on a tropical island with staff that make you feel that you are the only guests on the island then go. There are activities such as boating, sailing, fishing and a... more

I am not the best of flyers especially in small planes and bad weather, so the 12 seater airplane from Cairns to Dunk Island in heavy rain and turbulence wasn't pleasant for me. But because the weather was bad the resort organised a complimentary helicopter from Dunk Island to Bedarra Island which was quick, painfree and rather pleasant. For the... more

We just completed the first leg of our honeymoon at Voyages Bedarra and were somewhat nervous having read the last few negative reviews. We need not have worried - we had a great time and some of the problems below seem to have been rectified. There is a new manager and new FOH manager both formerly from Lizard Island. Don't... more

This was our return to bedarra after an absolutely magnificent honeymoon at the same time last year. Things certainly do change in a year. Frederick and Victoria ( former managers) have left and gone to Lizard Island. The new managers really have absolutely no clue about customer service or managing a resort. We were not the only ones who complained... more

Stayed for 3 nights in a pavillion room which was excellent. Staff very discrete, however the room, particularly the bathroom could have been cleaner. Food was exellent, except for one meal, although a little "samey" after 3 days. Staff are friendly and try hard, although they seem a little immature at times. Some wines on the reserve list (ie not... more
