My husband & I stayed here for 1 night last Saturday on a wotif.com deal that included a City view room (King bed), buffet breakfast, valet parking & a late checkout- 4pm. We found this deal to be great value. The room was modern, spacious & the bed very comfy. The bathroom is a little on the small size (but... more

First, some context: my girlfriend (a Sydney native) and I (a New York native) currently live and work in Hong Kong. We average three to four days per week traveling extensively across Asia for our respective investment firms. We also travel at times in the region for leisure. I provide this context because I want to be fair: the Sydney... more

Was here with group from work for meeting; we'd booked a city view room with the hope we'd be lucky and be upgraded. The harbour view rooms were full sadly. It pays to book these early. The rooms are very nice (view from 14th floor over city was ordinary), bed very comfortable with all mod cons. Only real negatives -... more

Very nice place to stay in Sydney. Booked a Club floor City View room. Room was ok (crappy small bathroom), and view of the city is nothing special. The Club Floor was excellent, except for the selection of wine. My wife and I love great food and wine and the wine was ordinary with only a selection of about 5... more

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in October 2008 and booked a great deal online which included a Watsons Bay View Room, valet parking and breakfast either in our room (at anytime) or in the Cafe. Valet Parking was easy but as we had arrived early our room was not ready. No problem as we set off to explore the... more

I read several unfavourable reviews AFTER booking the Intercontinental, so I must admit I was a little nervous about what to expect. I booked a one night stay as a surprise birthday present for my partner. Frankly I chose the Intercontinental because of its "posh" reputation, and great location. The package included one night in a city view room with... more

Steps away from Circular Quay...just at the cusp of the CBD...and just about the perfect choice for an extended stay in Sydney. Of course, I wasn't paying (there for business) but even if I was, I'd still be plenty pleased. Breakfast was included in the rate of approx $225 USD per night, and I've gotta say...that's a pretty damned good... more

The hotel itself is Ok. Rooms are adequate and clean. Food whilst not inspiring, is adequate. My main problem is with the lowering of standards in any way possible to make a few more dollars out of the property without any concern to how this looks to patrons. A few examples: I have seen better quality toilet paper in public... more

A very nice hotel in a great location. We upgraded to the harbour view room, and although a building slightly obstructed the opera house we still had a great view of teh bridge and botanical gardens. Room was great and hotel staff very friendly. It costs a lot but you get what you pay for i suppose.... more

I stayed at the IC for 4 nights in June. This hotel is just gorgeous - the room was so comfortable and the view amazing. I LOVE the swimming pool on the upper floor. Really no complaints whatsoever about the rooms, room service, or views. I loved this place. My only issue is that the staff definitely caters to their... more
