I stayed here for a semester as an international student, and I have a couple pieces of advice for others staying at the Unilodge long-term. This is going to be a fairly long/detailed review, so it may only be worth reading if you're in such a position. First of all (and I realize this is not the Unilodge's fault), do... more

We were at the Unilodge for 2 days. Got there early in AM and were able to keep our suitcases in a locked room while we hopped on a nearby bus for Sydney Harbor. All staff were helpful. We were put on the 4th floor interior so less noise. We had a twin bed room. There was a microwave, small... more

I have read the comments below and have to say I agree entirely with those who have rated this place badly. I have actually stayed here for a year as a student in the apartments, and it is the most overpriced ($345AUD A WEEK FOR A TINY ROOM) and ghastly accommodation I've ever had the misfortune to stay in. I... more

Unilodge is in a great location, right next to Gleb so that was fantastic. Next to many cafes and restaurants, however the place itself had much to be desired for. The rooms were noisey. You could hear the bathroom all night and the aircon from above. Being on the top floor really had no advantages. The rooms are definitely designed... more

i unfortunaltely had to stay there for some weeks (it was booked and pre-arranged and no change was possible). to sum up: i don't recommend this hotel to anyone. stuff is unfriendly, rooms and furnishings are run-down and it's noisy. if you have the choice: don't stay there! some positive issues concerning the location: just accross the street there is... more

I honestly can't figure out why so many people gave this hotel such rotten reviews; my friend and I stayed at the Unilodge from 5/11-5/18 and we couldn't have more positive things to say about the property and the staff! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, when we originally booked our room, they only had a single queen bed room... more

Found accomodation here when it was nigh impossible to get anything in Sydney since it was the New Year's Eve, which also coincided with the Ashes Test in Sydney. Room was small and modest but everything was very clean and functional. The shower-head was a regular simple one but somehow great! Walking distance to China Town and for the keen... more

OK if you knew you were staying budget then maybe you'd expect what you get but this place is billed as three star by AirmIles UK. We never sussed the Unilodge name. The room was tiny, bordering an atrium and every noise was just amplified. We would expect this of a University halls of residence but we thought we were... more

Stayed for 2 nights at the end January 2007. First problem was that room had 2 single beds and when we contacted front desk they advised that hotel was full - offered complimentary car parking ($10) as token gesture. There are lots of students barbequing and running around but we didn't find this to be a problem. Room was not... more

Well this hotel was actually good but be prepared for a decent hike to the centre of town or a willingness to spend large amounts on public transport. The location is the only problem with this place. more
