I stayed at Fitzpatricks recently on business and what a great experience. Arrived tired after a long working day and a longer journey and got a really friendly reception. Upgraded to a superior room - was very reasonable and got a great suite overlooking bay. Service was very attentive and food in The Dungeon lovely and fresh. The bed was... more

We e-mailed the hotel and obtained a great deal on the castle suite including bed and breakfast. Probably one of the easiest hotels to actually find and simplist route is to use the bypass. Plus loads of parking which unlike alot of hotels is free and on site. Again check-in was quick. Our room was not ready when we arrived... more

We stayed only one night at the Fitzpatrick castle, but it was very beutiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room wasn't huge but a nice size with an incredibly comfy bed!!! The furnishings and details around the castle were so great you didnt need to look around Dublin!! Definately would stay again! more

Liked it a lot here but after staying at some pretty nice castle hotels, I wondered, where's my robe and slippers? upon entering my room. Otherwise, no complaints about the room at all. The lobby/restuarant was beautiful and eating breakfast there was a treat. Try the bagel full irish breakfast--delish. The pool didn't look too welcoming so I didn't end... more

Overall a nice hotel. The attached restaurant was a bit expensive, but the food very good nonetheless (steak/seafood). Have no idea if there's much to do in the area as was on business, but swimming pool/gym looked good and the bar was well stocked. more

Er, I really can not reconcile the reviews below with the Hotel I stayed at. The hotel is really tired, you know, dusty smells, threadbare carpets, peeling wallpaper, smelly bathrooms. The pool was bizarre, rules for everything including having to wear swim caps? Sorry this is just about a poor 3 star hotel. Its old worn out and needs a... more

This is one of those hotels that is not what it seems, often marketed as the DUBLIN CASTLE HOTEL,this gives the impression that it is in(or at least is walking distance from) the city of Dublin & that it is a castle-WRONG! I'll tackle the castle bit first,it is one of those old buildings which was a large house which somebody... more

Stayed at the Fitzpatrick for a week at the beginning of August on a deal which included breakfast and two evening meals at the hotel restaurants. Would recommend contacting the hotel direct rather than using the website as we seemed to get a better deal that way. Rooms were nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and had the comfiest beds anywhere! The... more

Booked an ordinary twin without a view, but got a superior room with a view, that's what I call a welcome surprise! Everything was perfect, Breakfast fantastic, Dinner very good indeed. WiFi throughout the hotel, so you can stay in touch with the world. A walk up the Killiney Hill to the tower and then a dip into the swimming... more

Based on the previous reviews, I had very high expectations. Our stay was fine, but for some reason I felt something was missing. We had a few hiccups with check in. We were supposed to have an early check-in, but when we arrived it fell through. At the time, we were told we'd already been booked in the larger room... more
