I brought my boygfriend to the butler arms for a birhtday dinner. We were staying in Ballinshellgs on the bank holiday weekend. I ahd difficulty getting a reservation as everywhere was booked out. My experience of eatig in hotels has not being great to date apart from the places that have realy good restaurants but I was lucky to find... more
My wife and i stayed in this hotel with our 6 month old son for one night in June 2008. On arrival we thought that the hotel was in need of a paint and took a walk on the beach while the sun was out before entering with trepediation. All our concerns were eliminated with the very warm welcome we... more
This is a good middle of the road three star hotel with a couple of four star qualities like location and fine dining. Yes, the interior is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable and the only crib we had was some noisy plumbing. It may be a little dearer than it should but you are on the... more

Had a sea view which was nice but would look better with the sun out (as always!). The restaurant was okay, lots... more

Watervillle is a nice place, but unless you're playing golf, there probably isn't a lot else to do. However, for one night, it is nice, and we had a very enjoyable walk on the beach. The hotel... more

Butler Arms is a wonderful and warm place to stay on the tip of Kerry. This is the equivalent of a 4+ star hotel. The welcome from the front desk staff, complete with a bottle of cognac on the desk, was most welcome as we arrived in the rain. Our room was spacious, had a beautiful view of the water,... more
We stayed at the Butler Arms for two nighhts in August and found the welcome and courtesy to be lacking. When we checked in, there was no one on reception and during our stay, reception personnel were cool when we requeste information. On our departure, we asked for an early continental breakfast. and the young lady who was serving us... more
