We stayed in this lovley guesthouse for two nights in October and were honestly sad the morning we had to leave. I have stayed in many five stars hotels, bed and breakfast places, hostels and private apartments all over the world and this has to be my favourite place among them all. The place does have a great location, it... more

We spent last week at Kenmare in Ireland at Virginia's Guesthouse on Henry Street. We had a lovely room, the Superior King Size suite and have never slept in such a huge bed. The room was in the front overlooking the main road and the shops and at this time of year was quiet. It was warm and very clean... more

We stayed for three nights mid September, about the halfway point on a two week tour of Ireland. The night we arrived we had gotten lost in a rainstorm, and were going to be late checking in. We called ahead and were told that we could just use the phone at the front desk to call when we got there... more

We first visited Virginia's in 2006 and loved it (and the surrounding area) so much we had to come back! To our relief it was as good if not better than our first visit. The rooms are always spotless, it's in a fantastic location but Neil and Noreen make the Guest House what it is. Always warm and friendly and... more

What can I say that hasnt been said here a hundred times before? I can start by saying that this guesthouse deserves every one of the kudos it gets, and then some. Staying at Virginias Guesthouse and our visit to Kenmare the town, was the highlight of our 12 day trip to Ireland. We booked a Superior King room for... more

St. Martin's was a great stay. Noreen, our host, was very sweet and friendly. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the restaurant next door is renowned for its fantastic menu. Breakfast was amazing! Kenmare is a great find, definitely visit here instead of Killarney. And book your stay at St. Martin's! more

Virginia's is perfect. Some have stated that it is less comfortable because Neil and Noreen live elsewhere, but I would say the exact opposite. I felt that I could make myself more at home because I was not immediately in another family's home. This B&B was perfectly comfortable, and all four of us traveling together unanimously agreed it was our... more

We had an extremely nice stay here. Noreen and Neil were super friendly and very helpful--to include helping us with our bags. Our room, #14, was very large and included a towel warmer and heat lamp in the bathroom--we did not not have to use them in September--but some winter travelers might! The lighting in the bathroom was nice and... more

Just got back from a weekend getaway to the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara. This was a FANTASTIC B&B in such a great little town. The owners are the most friendly and accomodating people with lovely rooms and a great breakfast. I can't say enough good things about it or them. They even helped us plan our sight... more

We stayed here for two nights, great location right in downtown Kenmare, not bad to find parking on the street. The room was very plain, but very clean. Well heated. They had a nice library sitting room to make tea in and hang out and read. They live next door, but it's easy to get ahold of them or find... more

Management response from
Neil and Noreen Harrington, Owners/Managers

We remember this very nice couple from New York and are saddened that they didn't like their standard double ensuite room. Whilst we well understand the comments regarding B&B, we need to (again) point out that we are a State Registered Guesthouse and not a Family Home B&B. The reviewer is correct in saying that we do not live on...
