This area was beautiful unfortunately this hotel and our stay tarnished our view of the area. I was part of a coach tour and had two nights at this site and couldn't wait to leave. Service was non-existent and staff was surly. Food was a set menu (including breakfast) which left no options for food allergies and restriction or quantity... more

A group of eight of us went for a friends 60th birthday party. 5 of the group stayed in a 3 bed cottage and the other 3 of us had a 2 bed lodge. All I can say is the lodge was FANTASTIC! Fab decor, fully equipped, including enough coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits for 40 people! The lodge... more

Booked a 2 Bedroomed Lodge in Kenmare Bay Hotel from the 2-5 September 2008. Stayed in the Hotel 2 years beforehand and thought it was lovely even though they were going through some renovation at the time. We thought the house was fabulous and would recommend it to all our friends if they were visiting the area. Kenmare is a... more

We have just stayed at the Kenmare Bay Hotel for 5 days as part of the Vintage Bike and Car Rally. We were on a breakfast and evening meal basis but because of the large no in our group, the evening meal was a set menu. The Leisure Centre is very nice. Pool area is nice with some two lanes... more

Spacious, comfortable & expensively-furnished rooms. Bathrooms fitted to a high standard. Fantastic, breath-taking views from our room, which meant we were sometimes reluctant to leave and head off to explore the area. Highlights: Arrived on Bank Holiday weekend, which meant Kenmare's population had grown two-fold, at least. Also meant restaurants were fully booked. Despite this, reception staff - Mary, I... more

Myself and my wife stayed for three nights. We stayed in one of the lodges. It was super, all mod cons. Ideal for a family with small children. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class. The leisure centre was excellent. Downside: The bar is very small. No entertainment at all. They seem to cater more for... more

We stayed for a 2 night break, with three young children. From the moment we checked in, we were made feel so welcome and nothing was a problem. We had interconnecting rooms which were excellent. Breakfast each morning very good. We will definately be back. more

My friends and I recently stayed in the lodges attached to the Kenmare Bay Hotel. The house was fantastic. The bedrooms were as good as any five star hotel bedroom I've stayed in. There were three large bathrooms, a back garden, bar-b-que facilities available, washing machine, dish washer, digital coffee maker, smoothie maker! The town centre is a three minute... more

Positives: 1. This hotel is a 5 min walk to Kenmare town. 2. It is recently refurbished. 3. We were lucky to get a newer room. It was a decent size. Tea/coffee making facilities. Underfloor heating in bathroom. Shower and separate bath. 4. Any requests were met immediately - newspaper delivery, replacement of breakfast in bed request form (as there... more
