A family run B&B with 10 rooms catering for families and couples. O'Donnabhains is in Henry Street which is in the heart of Kenmare. I have stayed here four times and have enjoyed the hospitality of the owners and the great, wholesome food served in the restaurant. Breakfast is terrific and sets you up for the day, the owner is... more

Based on earlier reviews on Tripadvisor and our previous stay 7 years ago at ODonnabhains Guesthouse, I booked, in February, 2 rooms for 1 night for our August trip to Ireland. I received a confirmation from Jer Foley for the dates requested. I reconfirmed the dates with him and sent our credit card numbers. I received another confirmation stating that... more

very disappointing. Twin room was dingy, with leak from above room- which was a regular accurance. Beds had to be moved around to avoid the leak. Room wasn't cleaned- eventually the staff made the beds at our request but didnt clean. Overpriced for what we got. Hotel reception not manned so anyone from the bar could get into residential area... more

Unintended stay in Kerrry - found this place and very impressed with the welcome and hospitality. Can personally recommend the beef and guiness stew - went down a treat! Locals were all very friendly and the room wasnt close to the bar, so it was really quiet - helped to get a good nights kip before catching the ferry next... more

My husband and I stayed at O Donnabhain's Inn for the last few days of a trip around Ireland. When we first arrvived, there was a mix up with the booking and they didn't have us booked in till the following night! However, the owner was very kind in finding us a B&B for the night (despite it being peak... more

My husband, sister and brother-in-law and myself all agree that this place was not our cup of tea. We all stayed at five other properties throughout Ireland and agreed that this was the worst! When we were planning our trip, we decided that a quaint B&B would be great for Kenmare. The description and photos on-line looked okay so we... more

Thanking you for your comments, one thie night in question, the heating pumps that bring the hot water through the system, were not working as they were tripping on and off, and eventually stoped completely. Things like this happen with equipment, and is beyond our control. In relation to no one staying in the building, in the guest information, we...

We really enjoyed our stay so much, we were a bit reluctant to come with all this about H&M in the news here. It was Dan O' Sullivan who stayed with you last year that informed us about the real situation, that their were going to be a few restrictions, but that it would not make much of a difference.... more

Stayed here in 2005. got a good deal as it was off season. Was really impressed with the place. Room was huge. Had dinner in the bar downstairs and it was very nice. Was after some mountaineering that day and it was a lovely place to come back to and relax. Would definitely stay again. Good breakfast too. bit more... more

Out of all our accomodations in Ireland, this was the one place we would not return to. As another recent poster stated, upon arrival (after a long day of driving), the service, or lack thereof, was noticable. No one was available to check us in for about the first 20 minutes, and then it was pretty much a "we need... more

After two weeks in Ireland and staying in many different accomodations, we thought we would try a pub with a B&B attached. The rooms were spartan (to say the least), with few creature comforts. The windows overlooked a vent that blew cooking smells from the pub into our room. There was no charm in the decor nor the personality of... more
