We booked in here at the last minute for a week in early October as our pre-booked Zambrone accommodation closed early for the winter. Villagio l’Olivara would not have been our advance choice from the reviews, but we had little option as train tickets were already booked. The view from Villagio L'Olivara is breathtaking. It sits on a cliff overlooking the town of Tropea, which is on a cliff overlooking the ocean. L``Olivara are like a campus for students. Entertaiments all day around. Not a silent time at all. The apartment was ok but not clean. The shower curtain was full of mould and the toilet placed in a gap at the floor, not very hygienic. The pool area was too small and you have to weare a bathing cap in the... more

Holiday Village on top of Tropea. Excellent place if you like mountain biking :) Renting a car is must if you don't bike. Hotel transportation takes you down to town of Tropea few times a day (takes only 5 min). Because of siesta (1 pm-5pm) you are stuck either in town or hotel for four hours, if you don't have... more
