While planning our 1st weeklong vacation to Tuscany in 2006, I discovered Sant' Antonio on Slow Travel Italy (I believe this was prior to the popularity of tripadvisor.com). I now tell all of my friends that Sant' Antonio was the most incredible find. We have since returned for a 2nd trip in 2008 and would not consider staying at any... more

Thanks to Nico and Elena for such a memorable time in beautiful Sant' Antonio! My girlfriend and I have just returned from an amazing stay. I agree with all the positive feedback in reviews, so no need to repeat it all here. Only to highlight: Nico and Elena made a massive difference to our holiday - the level of service... more

Nestled in the Tuscan hills, a five minute drive from the medieval town of Montepulciano, lies the a 13th century monastery, which has been converted into Apartments and Villas, with loving attention to detail. We stayed there for 2 weeks in late June/early July and were blessed with the most beautiful weather while all in England bemoaned the awful summer.... more

We love Sant' Antonio enough to have returned here every year since 2001. It just keeps getting better and better. It is absolutely beautiful in every way. Nico, the personality plus owner, told us in 2001 that his dream is to make Sant' Antonio a perfect place for travelers. To do this he has outfitted each apartment with quality dishes,... more

We have just returned from a fantastic, relaxing week at Nico's stunning country resort, Sant' Antonio with breath-taking panoramic views. This was our first visit to Tuscany and our first visit to Sant' Antonio and we were so impressed! We had been quite apprehensive before making the booking as we have a 16month old baby who has recently started walking,... more

This has been my second visit to Nico's heaven on earth. This beautiful collection converted monastery buildings just outside of Montepulciano is a fabulous place to base yourself for a week or two exploring the Tuscan countryside. We visited Siena, Florence, Cortona, and of course Montepulciano itself. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are friendly and well... more

Sant’ Antonio Country Resort in Montepulciano is an ideal place for a Tuscan (and Umbrian) vacation. It is centrally located in the Val d’Orcia so, with a car, it is 30 minutes to the Renaissance jewel of a town, Pienza. Add another 15 minutes and one is among the vineyards that produce the great Brunello wine in Montalcino. Siena is... more

We spent 2 weeks at this beautiful resort for our honeymoon. After all the excitement of the wedding it was perfect to get away to the food, wine and sceanery of Sant Antonio and the surrounding countryside. We were glad to leave the Scottish weather behind! Sant Antonio was easy to find, close to the hilltop village of montepulciano. We... more

Sant' Antonio is a real gem nestled in the Tuscan hills! The property is historic, comfortable, and situated close to some of the best attractions and wineries. Nico and his staff really know how to take care of their guests, from recommending local restaurants, to arranging wine tours. You can rest assured that your vacation will be in good hands... more

My husband and I are Americans living in Ireland, and my mother-in-law made her first trip to Europe to visit us over Easter week, 2008. Since we had limited time, we wanted to spend the time getting to know Tuscany, and chose Sant 'Antonio based on the positive reviews. We definitely made the right decision, and my mother-in-law's first impression... more
