October 25, 2008 I stayed 6 nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff were wonderful and helpful, always going the extra mile The rooms have lovely appointments, and the breakfasts are delicious. I will recommend this to anyone staying in the area. more

Superb place to stay, and excellent value, sincerely could not rate it highly enough. Old Victorian building with high ceilings, giving the rooms a sense of vast space, generous sized room with a massive King sized bed and large TV. The TV had all the expected channels in Dublin. I stayed here two nights and found the room to be... more

We just returned from a vacation of a lifetime. We planned our t trip to Ireland for about a year following the advise of Tripadvisor, Fommers, Lonely Plant and then when we read about the Waterloo in the New York Times we decided to book the Waterloo House for the start and completion of our Irish tour. We were not... more

We appreciated the Waterloo House, its location, services and architecture. Room 22 however, is located next to a resident smoker and it was a problem. We registered our complaint immediately but they were unable to move us. We were assured they would be addressing the problem in the future...I'd ask if it is an important issue to you. more

We spent three nights at the Waterloo House and enjoyed our stay tremendously. It is in a quiet neighbourhood just south of the canal and easily accessible to downtown, either by walking (our friend walked to the Guiness brewery in 45 minutes) or by bus (the number 10 drops you off at Grafton street). Breakfast is excellent, with many options.... more

We enjoyed our recent two night stay at Waterloo House. Upsides included the very clean and well appointed rooms; several tasty choices for the hot breakfast (esp, nice when one is getting tired of eggs and pork!); and a free internet terminal in the lounge. Overall, it's a beautiful Georgian building. We had mixed feelings on the location. Ballsbridge is... more

My family and I recently spent 3 nights at the Waterloo House in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin. The location of Waterloo House is fantastic being less than 10 minutes walks from St. Stephen's Green. The rooms were on the smaller side but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious offering a few more options than the standard irish breakfast.. more

That's what an architect friend of mine who lives in Dublin wrote when I showed him where we were planning to stay on the Dublin leg of our trip. Waterloo House is a beautiful example of Georgian architecture, made up from two town homes in Ballsbridge. The room's footprint was small, but with high crown moulded ceilings. It was refreshing... more

I traveled to Dublin recently with 3 girl friends We wanted a bed and breakfast that was quiet, clean and in a safe neighborhood. We hit the jackpot with the Waterloo House. It was not only all of the above, but in addition, we were treated to a warm welcome with the added pleasure of staying in rooms that overlooked... more
