The entrance is extremely impressive and the reception is fabulous. The rooms however vary greatly! We were 'upgraded' to a club room but it turned out to be smaller than our friend's standard room so don't be fooled! It may be central London but the bar prices are ridiculous with no residents bar. We stayed in London for 4 days after Cunard's QM2 cruise to Norway disembarked in Southampton. We were dropped off on High Holborn where a hotel staff member stands guard. We stayed at this hotel to use our Marriot points. We liked the hotel and the location is fine - near the Undrerground station - so access to the city is fine. It is a short walk to Covent Gardens, and we even walked to Westminster Abbey and the Cabinet War Rooms, Trafalgar Square and a few other sights too.... more
