This hotel was just on the edge of awesome. I'd say it was perfect, but what can you expect from an all-inclusive resort. My girlfriend and I (mid 20's and early 30's) were there for 6 days/7nights. It was my first time to Cancun, and the Riu Palace showed us a great time. I'll bullet this to save time. Positives:... more

You can't go wrong with the Riu chain. We got a great deal through Perx for five days, 5 people, two rooms $1900.00. When you arrive at the airport...stay clear of all the guys you think are going to help you get to your transfer bus...they are selling time shares. Skip them completely and go outside the terminal and ask... more

Let me start by saying that I travel alot, and my wife and I have been to several other all inclusives, including another RIU property. We are not hard people to please. With that said, heres my review! When we first arrived, we were supprised to not be greated with a drink or a cool towel, which I guess I... more

The place is magnificent. The staff really is friendly, helpful, kind and went out of their way to make sure your vacation was what you wanted it to be. The food at all 3 of the resturants we ate at, were great. The buffets were always clean, lots of food. Hot or cold. They had midnight buffet snacks open aslo.... more

I have to say the hotel and service was outstanding. Room service came twice a day. The dining was excellant. I strongly recommend the steak house. My only complaint is that even though we stayed all inclusive staff still expected tips. I like to leave a tip on my own not when I feel pressured. That is the purpose of... more

This is our third time with RIU and we do not plan to change. The property was Immaculate and very well kept. The only... more

Though the Hotel was nice, to bad it was over shadowed by the fact that some one entered my room and stole money. I left my spare key in the room while out on an all day trip. It was taken from my locked room and used to get into my room later that day. Upon my return my key... more

My boyfriend and I (both mid/late twenties) stayed at the RPLA Aug. 14-21. We booked through a local travel agent and Apple Vacations, which I'd recommend. Here's a (very detailed) rundown of how things went: Check in was fairly smooth, but a little confusing because a large wedding group was also checking in. After being bounced among a few people,... more

Just returned from from a great vacation with my daughter! It was my first time in Mexico, my daughters second time since graduating 10 yrs ago. I was very skeptical about the resort based on some of the reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The resort was spotless and the staff are very kind and hardworking! The food was... more
