Before you read this review, please understand that we look for the silver lining in those gray clouds too. My friend and I have been to Puerto Vallarta five times with our spouses and/or families. This time we came just the two of us, we stayed three nights at the Yasmin Hotel and were very impressed at the cleanliness and the great shower. The courtyard is very pretty and well kept. This charming hotel with very pleasant rooms with or without AC and cable TV is just a few steps from the beach. The spanish speaking staff is very friendly. The neighbouring restaurant is superb for both breakfast and dinner. We paid 496pesos for a double room with AC more

Clean basic rooms with a lot of charm. Great courtyard for socializing with your companions. One short block to the beach and close to good restaurants. Ten minute walk to the malecon. Drawbacks?
