Very nice 4 star hotel with your typical sized hotel room, rooms are nothing special but sufficient. The grounds, pools, and beach are very well kept. Beach chairs and pool chairs were overly abundant but it was November and the hotel was maybe 75% full. Some reviews talked down the beach, don’t expect crystal blue water with white sand, it’s... more

My husband and I just returned from a 4-night stay at the Rio Mar. We are generally very adventurous, independent travelers and prefer someplace smaller with more charm, but decided to book at the Rio Mar because our top priority on this trip was to unwind and we wanted someplace both on the beach and with a spa. After 4... more

We had a great stay, thought the hotlel would not be wuite as nice. We had a great time, would not recommend renting a car. Great resort, but no all inclsive, food a bit pricey, but very good and abundant. You should sign up for the wyndham rewards, it's free and you get free internet and some extras. Nike had... more

We got there and they upgraded our room to a suite which was fantastic! The drinks were super expensive, $8 for a beer that was 10 oz. We got beer from a gas station and put it in the fridge or in a ice bucket and we saved tons of money. There is a small restuarant right when you turn... more

I have worked as a concierge in many 5 star hotels so I know what is going on behind the scenes at the concierge desk and I was not impressed at how they were operating. We were there only one day and night and my wife and I wanted to take a bioluminescent kayak tour that evening, but the concierge... more

I stayed in this hotel from october 17-23, 2008. I was attending a scientific meeting and had booked my stay using office credit card. Initially I had given my personal credit card for booking the room. During the check out I requested them to charge the lodging to my office credit card which they did. However, when I received my... more

What a gorgeous, friendly hotel. We can't say enough about this resort. It has everything, even a casino. It's across from the rainforest and on a beautiful beach. We booked the Spread Eagle sailboat and went snorkeling with lunch onboard. We did the night kayak trip to the glowing jellyfish, crossing the ocean in the rain. It was so much... more

We were glad we read the reviews before we went to PR and signed up for the Wyndham rewards. The outside grounds and pool areas were beautiful and clean at all times. The inside of the hotel was sooo cold and the rooms were average. We had an ocean view. Many people had trouble with their room cards and trying... more

Decided to go to Puerto Rico on a last minute trip with my wife and son. We went to the Wyndham and had a super time! The beach is the best - one mile long. all we did was sit and relax on the beach - the water was 85 degrees and the waves were not too rough but rough... more
