We stayed in one of the four fireplace cabins right on the edge of the canyon and had an unobstructed view. We got there after a storm had dumped a foot of snow and another foot fell the first night we were there. The canyon was absolutely awesome and hardly anyone was there. The cabin was rustic but clean. The... more

You can't bet staying right on the rim of the Grand Canyon. The views were incredible. The duplex cabins are modern and nicely decorated. The only issue is that the walls in the cabin are very thin. You can clearly hear the people in the next unit talking. If you are a light sleeper this arrangment might not work out... more

Bright Angel Lodge has a mix of accommodations ranging from rooms without a private bath to cabins with a Rim view and fireplace. We reserved a "Historic Cabin" through the GrandCanyonLodges web site. (The cabins are actually located in duplex and 4-plex units.) Our cabin was rustic looking on the outside, but clean and pleasant on the inside; with a... more

I booked the Bright Angel Lodge through Xanterra. When we arrived, we were treated very nicely and told that we were being upgraded to the Thunderbird, next door, due to maintenance issues. The room there was terrific! HOWEVER -- we had dinner at the Arizona Room of the Bright Angel. There was an abundance of Red Pepper featured on the... more

Booked a Bright Angel cabin just a couple weeks before arrival... probably because we were coming in December. Short walk to dining, front desk and el Tovar. A short stone's throw to the edge of the canyon (maybe 25 yards). It is crazy dark at night...which means great star gazing. Bed was reasonable, although it seemed more like a full... more

Small cabin, basically 5-10ft walking space around queen bed with small bathroom. Clean, comfortable, great location. My husband and I did a mule ride the next morning and woke up steps from the meeting place. Cabins were quiet. You can stay at a plush resort elsewhere, the charm of Bright Angel is the location and quaintness of the small cabins.... more

My girlfriend and I were hesitant to stay at the Bright Angel Cabins because of the reviews that we found on this site and others. To be fair, it seemed as though every place to stay at the Grand Canyon had some awful reviews, so it felt like we were picking the best of the worst. Staff - They were... more

We stayed just one night in a cabin at the South Rim - just a few yards from the start of the Bright Angel trail. We couldn't get a cabin with a direct view of the Canyon (despite booking neatly a year in advance). The cabins are a little on the small side but reasonably well equipped with new(ish) bathrooms.... more

Our first trip to the GC. Flew into Vegas and spent the night there and drove to a ranch that was the closest to the west rim. We didn’t do the sky walk (everyone told us it wasn’t worth it, but to walk around that area which we did. We spent the next day on the west rim and then... more

The best part of our stay was opening the casement windows to a million dollar view of the Grand Canyon. We stayed in rim side cabin #6151. In addition to the view, the cabin was charming. It has exposed logs that are painted white, a cathedral ceiling and a gas fireplace. The room is furnished with a comfortable queen size... more
