Nothing to do with fine arts as some other reviewer said. Just a scientific exhibition. Entrance fee of $14 prevented me from entering there. There is a small lake in front of the palace. But you can relax much better at the Golden gate park. Save your limited tour time by deleting this place from your time table. more

Whenever I am in San Francisco I always walk along the bay from from Fishermans Wharf to the Palace of fine arts. This was our first stop on the motorized cable car tour. The tour operator stopped and gave us 15 minutes to explore and take pictures. I was certainly glad this stop was included on the tour. The Palace of Fine Arts is such a pretty peaceful place and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it!! more
