This is our second butterfly conservatory. Our first was in Scotland when my teens were smaller. They liked it o.k. this time and if you haven't ever been to one it's worth going. The Niagara Falls conservatory was filled with ALOT of butterflies, so much that you have to duck to avoid them. They don't let you touch them, but... more
I guess if you are a real nature lover or adore butterflies, this would be a fun attraction. The facility is very nice, as are the grounds but we were underwhelmed by this attraction. We were in awe at first, seeing such colorful, huge butterflies all around us. After a few minutes of "ooohing and ahhhing" though, we were bored.... more
Spectacular in every way. Possibly the highlight of our whole stay. The number and variety of the colorful and surprisingly "friendly" creatures astounded our family of four. Photo ops galore. Helpful staff there to answer questions and not merely to police the hundreds of guests. The adjoining cafe was too small to handle the number of patrons but they tried.... more
The butterflies just *posed* for me! Seriously. I had tried many times at a local butterfly conservatory (I'm in the Baltimore-DC metro area) to capture a Blue Morpho, and both times I visited, they simply sat there, wings spread, and said, "take my picture, please?" The butterfly conservatory is an amazing place. Go there! more
We loved the Conservatory as did our 8 month old daughter, but I'm not sure I'd be writing this review the same way if we were visiting at the height of the tourist season. The facility is awesome and gigantic if you're a butterfly, less so if you've been dropped off along with 10 other busloads of visitors. But the... more
THe butterfly conservatory was one of our favourite places at Niagara Falls. Even my husband who was reluctant to go ended up loving it. You just dont see butterflies like that anymore. My youngest daughter was a bit scared of them if they looked like they were going to land on her but she is scared of everything. It was... more
Loved, loved and oh yea loved it. You wouldn't think looking at butterflies would be all that great, but it was!! Brought back the old days of seeing them fly all around when you was a kid before the pesticides came out. I had a beautiful and large blue butterfly hitch a ride on me as soon as we entered.... more
I was a little bit hesitant about this attraction, but interested at the same time. I had never been to a butterfly conservatory and am very glad that I decided to go. My boyfriend and I had bought the ticket packages which included tickets to the conservatory. You can either drive and park yourself, which I think was free or... more
I've been to the Butterfly Exhibit at the San Diego Zoo and in Emmen, Netherlands. This one is the best by far! Done very well. We went in Sept., so the crowds were light. Just a warning, it does get very warm inside this attraction, so layer your clothing so you will be comfortable and can stay longer. They have... more
