Wonderful. The food, service, rooms - most with a view - for all different rates are all great. Breakfast sometimes feels like it never ends with the number of courses. The rooms are clean and relaxing. Some of the other hotels i considered booking may have been right downtown but not on the water and not in the best condition.... more

The very first thing about this place is that it has a very welcoming appeal which is supported by wonderful people from the person that swipes the floor all the way to the owner who gives you this warm feeling that all your expectation will be met and exceeded. Many places I have travelled wish that you should be happy... more

We loved this hotel location. After a 5 day trip around the islands, we were glad to be on land and just enjoy terra-firma. The hotel has a nice breakfast area and it is close to several other restaurants. We enjoyed watching the frigate birds and the boobies and pelicans diving in to the sea for food right from the... more

We booked 2 rooms 2 years ago, and they cancelled our rooms a WEEK before our departure date. AND nobody speaks English there. (We ended up at the B&B Casablanca, and we had a great time there, we do highly recommend the Casablanca, friendly people and great location). more

We booked 2 rooms 2 years ago at the Orca Hotel, yes we planned that special trip 2 years in advence, and they cancelled our rooms a week before our departure date (we do not recommend the Orca, they are not profesional and nobody speaks English!). Our travel agent found 2 rooms for us at the B&B Casablanca instead. It... more

Great place for a relaxing holiday, I stay in the new part of the hotel, where they have very nice rooms right in front of the beach, the people at the hotel are very nice and help us with all the information and reservations for the different activities in the island, also I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing time snorkeling... more

Semilla Verde Guest House

Oct 19, 2008

My husband, 2 children and I stayed at Semilla Verde in June/July of 2008. We loved the treehouse feeling, the privacy, and views from the guest house. The bird watching was great as were occassional encounters with tortoises on the property. The location was convenient for touring the beautiful highland areas as well as a short taxi ride to town... more

Wow! more than we ever expected. My husband, a friend of ours, our son and two of his friends booked a week in Galapagos at this hotel through a travel agency called adventure life. We couldn't do a cruise because we were going to be going back into Ecuador for two weeks to do missions work. Hotel was awesome. My... more

We enjoyed our one week, Friday to Friday, cruise on the 110 ft, 16 passenger Beluga. Nice, comfortable boat with great food and helpful staff. However, at this time of year, Sept-Oct, sea-sickness is a problem so wear a patch. The water is cold and snorkeling requires a wet suit. Our guide, Silvia, was knowledgeable, very pleasant and spoke great... more

Fantastic experience here. Incredibly helpful staff, reliable wireless, clean rooms, good water pressure, hot water and great location (near restaurants and the Charles Darwin Breeding Center, but far enough away from the night clubs to be really quiet). If you don't want to go out to see your wildlife, take pictures of the resident marine iguanas, pelicans and sea lions.... more

I booked a tour throughGalapagos Cruises, which also apparently has different names under which they do business. Two of them are World Trails, LLC, and the other is Latin Trails. They booked my tours through Tortuga Bay Hotel & Tours. During my booking they kept trying to increase the cost of my tours and changed my original tour 3 times,... more

This Hotel was booked by a tour Operator called World Trails, LLC, also known as Latin Trails, and also known as Galapagos Cruises. Our original trip to the Galapagos Islands booked for May had to be changed to August due to a serious illness. We pre-paid for the hotel in cash through Jenny Divine at Moonrise Travel Agency as was required. Though we notified them of our change in plans 3 weeks before our original arrival date, the hotel refused to change the... more

Pretty much in agreement with all the positive reviews here. Just got back from Isabela - so quiet and sleepy, a lovely relaxing spot. The B&B is located right on the beach, a great value and has fantastic service. The food for dinner is just so-so but otherwise the property is clean and has a friendly staff. There are mosquitoes,... more

We stopped at Santa Cruz 3 days before we were scheduled to stay there for 1 night, on our way to Isabela. As a result we decided to check out our existing reservations at another hotel, but weren't happy with the lack of view. As a result we inquired about availability of 2 rooms at Sol y Mar for a... more

We were really happy with the Red Mangrove. We stayed there a week, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful, everyone spoke great English. They can arrange day trips for you, just let them know what you want to do. They have a restaurant that overlooks the water, and a great deck, too, with wonderful staff and a... more

We stayed at Hotel Gardner for almost two weeks when our cruise of the Galapagos Islands cancelled at the last minute. We initially arrived into the Galapagos at 9 am from Quito via Guayaquil. We rode for about 10 minutes in a Chevrolet passenger van to a small dock where we took... more
